2023-2024 SCHOLARSHIP
INFORMATION & REQUIREMENTS

Delta Iota Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. in collaboration with Sigma Outreach Educational Development Initiative, Inc. will provide a scholarship for the 2023 – 2024 academic school year to a pre-determined number of deserving high school graduating seniors who demonstrate excellence in academic and community service.  Scholarships will be disbursed through Sigma Outreach Educational Development Initiative (SOEDI), Inc.,

a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

To be eligible for the Scholarship, the student must:

  • Be a minority male

  • Be a United States citizen/legal resident (subject to verification)

  • Be currently enrolled as a high school senior in New Haven or Fairfield County

  • Planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution**

  • Demonstrated a record of community service (typed description)

**Approved accredited institutions are defined as accredited, post-secondary two or four-year colleges or universities in the United States.  Proof of enrollment is a requirement for the scholarship award and fund disbursement.
